Such a lovely cool-looking garden, Val, AND A POOL. Wonderful that you make the most of it from within your house, too.

Its lovely to look at summer photos, when Ive recently looked out on snow! The pool looks wonderful...but then I did spend the first hours of 2006 with friends in a hot tub in a log cabin (not MY hot tub btw) Lovely photos, thanks!

Your garden is luxurious and the pool is gorgeous!

Thanks for your lovely comments. I'll make sure my husband reads them too, as he can take most credit for the garden.

We were definitely not pool people when we bought the house 11 years ago (filling it in was going to cost heaps of $$$), but have come to appreciate it in all seasons. It's very calming to look out on.

Jude, I'm going to look up info on the Allamanda vine you mentioned. Hubby wants climbing roses for the arch but, believe it or not, I really don't like roses! So I should come up with viable alternatives. The Battle of the Arch is on!

OMIGOD, as the breathy teen bloggers would say - I'm so in love with your garden. Can I come and live with you? Maybe until March? Thanks. I'll make a reservation.
Kidding, but not totally. Susan

Hmmm, maybe we should think about opening a bed and breakfast place when we retire. Need to turf the boys out first though!
