Have doona, will travel

Heading up to Central Victoria right after the football game today, doona already in the car THIS TIME. I'll be back in touch in a couple of days. Have a good weekend (weekend?, what's that?, asks retiree Val).

Meanwhile, you might want to catch up on all the innovative solutions people have suggested in their comments on my previous post about our bat problem. Interesting reading! Thanks, everyone!

Have a safe trip. Loved reading all the comments about the bats. This afternoon while we were at Home Depot, your post came to mind. My husband said to tell you that bats eat lots of bugs! (I think they're still icky)
:-)

Hello Val ~WOW ~ We actually had a win. The boys played so well, I watched it on Fox footy and was so emotional
about it, I cried. Wonderful !!!!!
You have a good weekend and a safe trip.
Take care, your fellow Blues supporter,
Merle,

Hi Val,
Hope you have a great trip and that the bats don't fly with you.
When you get back, as a fellow book lover, you may be interested in my Sat., Aug. 5th post, about how some scholars have recovered an ancient Greek manuscript which Archimedes wrote (I put the links in my post). I know your interest lies in that special binding you do, but I thought you might like to see how the scientists are using x-ray technology... Maybe you could zap bats with x-rays or lasers, kind of like a giant bug-zapper?

Thanks for all the congratulations on Carlton's win, guys. I had the old scarf flying out the window all the way to Kyneton. For those not in the know, it's traditional for supporters of the winning team to fly their scarf (in the team's colors) out the window on their way home from the game. And as we were heading up to the country straight after the game, that mean 90 minutes of the Mighty Carlton Blues' win being celebrated with the scarf flapping onto the car roof. Music to the ears!
