The MWC brought it back from one of his business trips to China. It's a quilted jacket that is so-o-o-o cosy and warm, I wear it for most of the winter, indoors and out. Millions of Chinese women wear them, and I know why!

My doona jacket
Now that you've all been educated as to what a doona is here in Australia, you'll know what I mean when you see my "doona jacket". That's my description of it anyway. The MWC brought it back from one of his business trips to China. It's a quilted jacket that is so-o-o-o cosy and warm, I wear it for most of the winter, indoors and out. Millions of Chinese women wear them, and I know why!

Now that is a really gorgeous jacket! Lucky duck...I'd wear it all the time too. Love the colours.
Your friands must have had a really lovely flavour, using the orange infused oil. I have never tried that in baking yet.

Looks like a beautiful jacket, I love the fastenings too. Now, we call them "frogs" in UK, at least I do. Pretty Chinese fastenings for the toggles, made in braid. What would you call them, Val?
Of course I've seen these but never knew the name of them!! Now I do! :-) They certainly do look comfy and warm!!
Val, your doona jacket is lovely and I dare say if you were here today, you would have to take it off. It was 100ºf at around 2pm today with about 90% humidity. I don't know what the final temp will be today because I have been at my computer most of the late afternoon catching up on blog reading.
Heh heh, I can just imagine people around the world going around asking where they can buy a "doona jacket"! I think the toggle fastenings are also called "frogs" here too. And in the U.S.?
Val now that looks like a great "must have item" for the weather here is horrid and COLD! yes you are right "cold in the country!"

Behind me is a “kimono” (a touristy version) my mother in law brought back from Japan about 45 years ago. She gave it to me because I love Asian things so much. It goes really well against the shoji blind that hangs on that wall, don’t you think?
My girls introduced me to the word 'doona' several years ago. I've heard it a lot since then, strangely enough.
