Farewell lunch

It was such a fun and happy occasion. Colleagues had put in a lot of thought to what I would like. Much evidence of the Carlton Football Club, giraffes, trams and trains. Wine, food (even pumpkin pie!), and a powerpoint slideshow to summarise my working life in the library. Found out they've been getting ideas from this blog. For that, they get to be in my blog, here are just a few of the photos. Even Denis Pagan was there to wish me well.

Congratulations, Val and 'Welcome to the Club'. Don't forget to have an extra long sleep-in tomorrow morning. If you have a good book handy and someone to bring you a breakfast tray, that would be better still.

Did you have the bottle of wine to celebrate once you got home? Welcome to retirement!!

It looks like a wonderful send off. And so familiar! Library leaving events are the same the world over obviously, because my daughter leaned over my shoulder, as she thought it was photos from MY work!

Enjoy the time ahead, I will watch your progress with interest!
