San Francisco update

Hi everyone! I'm using an internet cafe for the first time, and it's a nice walk from where we're staying. We are having a wonderful time, the weather has been beautiful, and the accommodation... well, have a look at that photo from the previous post, and it doesn't do it justice. It is so comfy and convenient and beautiful. I've been keeping a diary of what we've been doing every day, but I think if I do put it online I'll have a separate blog for it, with numerous photos, or maybe do one of those slideshows. But that'll have to wait until I get back, I think.

I hope you are all well!

Hmm your blog thinks you're still in Australia!
LOL! It's only Tuesday the 10th here!
Glad you're having a great time and isn't this weather the best! (At least where I am) I guess it might be a bit foggy in SF, but not here!

Nice to hear from you, and that you have internet access and are CONNECTED! Always un-nerving I find, being un- connected! Enjoy it all, Val.

Hi Val ~ Great to hear you are having a good time, and look foreword to seeing the pics.

Weather here has been very hot, gusty, 36, since you left, attracting earlier than anticipated bush fires both here and elsewhere, particularly in parts of NSW and Tasmania but only a few homes effected. We have also had the onslaught of an official drought declared in many parts of the country; the realisation the situation is dire. Premiers have met with Federal Govt on the water crisis. The Murray is likely to dry up in areas unless agreement can be reached between intransient states, and the federal gave attempting to oversee progress in reduced water usage, each blaming the other for lack of any action.

Best wishes

I had the wonderful opportunity to see Val yesterday! I gave her permission to post my picture on this blog when she returns. However, I am contacting techie son to have him use photoshop to remove about 50 lbs, my gray hair and any other signs of aging from my photo!

We went to Point Richmond, which is near where I live. I am ashamed to admit it, but I never go there. We walked along the shoreline, had lunch, and caught up on old times. She is, indeed, a very special person.

I wish we could have made connections. Maybe next time? I'm not that far from the city.
