What's new, Pussycat?
Today was the day I met Meow for the first time, although we've been blogger buddies for a while now. We decided to meet in a library near where we were going to lunch (and more dangerously, near a wonderful scrapbooking shop), but the question was, how were we going to find each other? I had suggested we go around humming "What's new, Pussycat?" until we found each other (you'll know why this is relevant if you read Meow's blog), and maybe getting on library staff nerves. But that turned out to be unnecessary, as it was a very small library.
We used the opportunity to join yet another library system and borrow some books. Then on to lunch at one of the places recommended by the friendly librarian. After that we forced ourselves to go to the scrapbooking shop where Meow proceeded to buy many items relating to, guess what, cats! I bought some paper I didn't need but couldn't resist, and signed up for a workshop next month. A very pleasant day, thank you for your company, Meow!

Thanks, Val, for the wonderful company. It was great fun getting to know you, and chatting ... gosh, we sure did chat, didn't we !! It was interesting to discover the things we had in common. Thanks, too, for introducing me to the scrapbooking shop. IT was a wonderful few hours .. thanks again. We should do it again sometime.
Take care, Meow
Hi Val, when I'm in Victoria next I'll bring Merle along for a meeting somewhere, who knows we may be able to get Meow involved in that one too.

It must be a real buzz to meet bloggers 'for real'! Glad you both had a lovely time together.
Great photo of your both. You're becoming a dab hand at meeting bloggers, aren't you, Val? So glad you found each other, had a good time, and indulged in mutual interests.

Hi Val, I know how it feels to meet a blog friend, we did this in December with a bunch of food bloggers, and we had such a great time. Thanks so much for the hint on how to keep ginger fresh with sherry, I always end up losing part of the ginger. I love your recipes and hints, you should post some recipes here... Take care and have a great weekend!
Hi Val,
Sounds as though you two had a nice time.
Yesterday Ginny and I drove downtown to an exhibit of tall ships and saw one sporting an Australian flag.
I'll post a photo one day next week.
What fun! Sounds like a great day. How nice to see this picture of you both.
I'm chuckling at the thought of you both creeping around the library, softly humming "What's New, Pussycat?"
It's almost a shame you didn't have to :)
How delightful to meet a blogging friend. Seems you had a good time.I would take my dog along for identification.
I love the idea of having a music concert in a mine shaft.
How cool to meet a fellow blogger!!
I wish I could have a big ol' party one day and meet everyone!!
Hey Val,

Wow! Sounds you both had a very pleasant day! It's really great to meet with blogsphere friends! Would be great if I could to meet with you both! Love the picture!
How wonderful to get to meet Meow and to get along so wonderfully. You wouldn't have to pressure me to go into a scrapbooking shop...I'm a craft store junkie.
