New technology-toy

Here's the new printer-fax-copier-scanner thingie being installed by our resident techie. What do people call these machines anyway?
Now we'll have to get out the old photographs and see if we can figure out how to use the scanner. Instructions are strangely minimal and vague in print and CD-ROM manual...

When all else fails, read the manual...

Right, I posted about my blog corner too! A bit behind everyone else I know.

Val, I just noticed what you're reading - I love Russo! My book club especially liked "Empire Falls" but I've liked everything he's ever written, I think. Enjoy. Susan

I'll be interested to know what you think of your new 'toy', once you've deciphered the directions, etc. Val mentioned about being able to scan in 35mm colour slides - does yours do that? I hadn't thought about it before but we have thousands of those too.

Just to report: after the first flurry of excitement about the new toy, it has been sitting there in powersave, waiting patiently for use.

Alice, like the Other Val, we too have a separate machine to scan slides and negatives. It was a discard and there's still some work to be done to make it operation (techie son steps in again...his upkeep is worth it when I think of all the messes he's helped us out with).
