Breaking news

I decided to have a slipper day today (after going to my early morning aerobics class, of course), so we decided not to go to the Flower and Garden Show after all. It's the perfect day for staying indoors and trying out some computer scrapbooking. (Also, I wanted to be able to watch a bit of footy).

Jellyhead mentioned in her comment to my last post that as she had never seen a photo of the Bread Nazi, she pictured him as a "vague loaf-shaped figure", which drew a guffaw from me (yes, librarians do occasionally guffaw). That has given me an idea for a fun project to try with various photo-editing programs, which will probably take up an inordinate amount of my time. However, the Bread Nazi has appeared on these pages, most famously(?) as the man who cooks. Not very loaf-like, more your pretzel stick shape really, or maybe a baguette!

So sorry to all of you wanting to see photos of the garden show. That will have to wait until next year.

Good Monday morning to you, Val!

I'm very proud to hear I managed to elicit a guffaw!! Thanks for the photo.

I wanted to ask - are you in any AFL tipping comps? If so, how are you going? My hubby, and his 3 brothers, and all their wives and kids are in a family tipping comp. This weekend just gone, my daughter has topped the ladder with her random tips! (to help them choose teams, we say to our kids, for example, "Cats or Lions? Magpies or Crows?")

Hope you have a happy day :)

I'm afraid I'm a bit of a party pooper when it comes to any kind of gambling, and the AFL tipping comp definitely qualifies as gambling! One year my husband went into the comp at work and he was always asking me for my tips. That whole season was marred by me not only worrying how my team went, but by how my tips went. Not for me!

How nice to see the dear bread nazi in person (sort of). How lovely to have a man who cooks :)
That early morning aerobics class sounds fun. I'll have to be content with a walk, or some aerobics by myself...maybe done to music.
We loved seeing the Philadelphia Flower Shower last year but the bus trip made for a very long day, so we stayed home this year. Our camera played up so we only got 3 photos! What I could've done with the digital!! It was spectacular. Too bad you left your camera at home on the weekend. We'll just have to use our imaginations!

I meant about you sitting by the camp fire with the pretzel-shaped figure :)

Hmmm, I did not mean a pretzel shaped figure, but it is fun to imagine! I was thinking more on the lines of those pretzel sticks - the Bread Nazi, despite his lifelong interest in food, cannot put on an ounce of weight, despite all efforts to do so.

Your Bread Nazi is much like mine, although mine is much older & crustier, and cannot put on weight either. (If I only had his metabolism). My crustier version also has a shirt like the one your hubby is wearing.
Mine also likes to cook.

Ps. Did I mention that mine also has a beard?
